Wildlife Protection Devices

The Eco Electrical Systems, Inc. lines of wildlife protection devices and cut out covers have been granted US Patents (7,154,034 and 7,154,036 resp.). Granting of these patents validates the unique and effective designs of these products.

Description: Insulator/Conductor cover. Individually boxed. For use with distribution preform ties and hand ties. Order EICG-1-WLPT for utilities that use Wrap Lok Preform Ties. Fits ANSI Class insulators 55-4, 55-5, 55-6, 56-1, and most 57-1 and 57-2 insulators. Cap is 20 inches in length. Extensions are 32 inches in length. UV and track resistant material. The extensions snap fit to the cap. The extensions pivot to allow for conductor sway. Two 6.5 inch snap fit pins for the cap/cover and two 4.5 inch snap fit pins for the extensions. Hotstick applicable. Will fit conductors up to 795 ACSR.

Two 6.5 inch snap fit pins for the cap/cover and two 4.5 inch snap fit pins for the extensions. Hotstick applicable. The pin hole spacing is wider on the EICG-1-WLPT due to the fact the snap fit pins need clearance from the wider Wrap Lok Preform ties. Pin spacing is 14 inches overall, 7 inches from center. Will fit conductors up to 795 ACSR.

1. ECC-1

Description: Cutout cover, fits 15 and 25 k.V. interchangeable porcelain cutouts manufactured by S&C, AB Chance and ABB. Cutout cover does not have to be removed when using a loadbreak tool. One 4.5 inch snap fit pin included. UV resistant, hotstick applicable.

2. ECC-2

 Description: Cutout cover, fits 15 and 25 k.V. rated polymer cutouts manufactured by S&C, Ohio Brass and ABB. Cutout cover does not have to be removed when using a loadbreak tool. Two 6.5 inch snap fit pins included. UV resistant, hotstick applicable.

3. ECC-3

Description: Cutout cover, fits 25 k.V. 150 BIL rated porcelain cutouts manufactured by S&C, AB Chance and ABB. This cover will fit S&C Versions 9 and 10. Cutout cover does not have to be removed when using a load-break tool. Two 6.5 inch snap fit pins included. UV resistant, hotstick applicable.

4. ECC-4

Description: Cutout cover, 27 k.V. rated, 125 BIL, Kearney HX. UV resistant, hotstick applicable. Cutout cover does not have to be removed when using a loadbreak tool. One 4.5 inch snap fit pin included.

5. ECC-5

Description: Cutout cover, 15 k.V. rated 110 BIL and 27 k.V. rated, 125 BIL. Fits ABB LBU cutouts only. UV resistant, hotstick applicable. Cutout cover does not have to be removed during operation of the cutout. Two 6.5 inch snap fit pins included.
