Victor Insulators, a Greater Rochester Top 100 fastest-growing privately owned company, is a leading manufacturer of high voltage ceramic insulators with an extensive supply chain of all types of high voltage insulators.
The Quality Assurance Manager focuses on continuous improvements through all systems, with specific emphasis on the manufacturing process at Victor, while providing general support in determining the effectiveness of the supply chain processes.
The Manager reports to the Quality Assurance Director and provides support to the Company’s overall corporate goals for quality, and to all business aspects related to customer expectations.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with ISO 9001:2015.
- Background in statistical analysis.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective action development.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee Corporate Quality Assurance objectives as established by the Quality Assurance Director.
- Provide analysis and support of the QMS Systems to ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2015.
- Provide necessary product certifications in the form of QA reports to customers as required.
- Coordinate the inspections and evaluation of products, processes, and materials of the domestic manufacturing process.
- Assist in the product quality control processes and documentation of outsourced products.
- Support the response to customer inquiries:
o Surveys
o Audits
o Complaints - Plan and direct internal audits of all QMS processes, with emphasis on those related to domestic production.
- Plan and direct the activities of QA inspectors and auditors.
- Lead root cause analysis of internal and external non-conformances. Define and monitor remediation plans to ensure issues are suitably addressed.
- Facilitate management of continuous improvement projects to include statistical evaluation of results.
- Assist in the quality-related training of new employees and current employees,
and support the maintenance of a corporate-wide quality culture.
Salary Range: $70,000 to $100,000 per year
